Equinox Resort Spa, VT (and Backroad Discovery Tours)

10 Nov

Wonderful experience.  I stayed in a townhome which was easily accessible to everything.  It was huge with a modern, sleek design. It has balcony overlooking the mountains and fully equip kitchen.

The service was outstanding, making restaurant reservations for us and shuttling to and from.  The town itself is full of outlets, so we did plenty of shopping.  Our visit happen to fall upon restaurant week, so we took full advantage of that as well.

I didn’t use the actual spa services, but I definitely got use out of the gym, indoor pool, and jacuzzi located outside.  I regret not taking a in-the-pool fitness class which was no extra charge.  The resort gives you the fluffiest robes to lounge in!

The main building has a restaurant (which I didn’t try because it was pricey) and two bars.  They plan activities but my favorite was drinking by the bonfire.

They make the BEST apple cider doughnuts you will ever taste.

And if you are staying in the area you HAVE to check out Backroad Discovery Tours. I loved the tour guide; she was more like a friend.  We touched upon everything we hoped for, like local histories as well as syrup tasting and cheddar cheese! We even got to play with animals.  I definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes!

Great escape from the city congestion, and a wonderful long week to take in the fall.  Or have a wedding! Keep an eye out- this place is always popping up on TravelZoo.

Legging Season <3

27 Oct

Accent Scarf: Ebay $1

Biker Jacket: Ebay $15

I got it awhile ago so the link may not add up to the exact same jacket

Round Bottom Tank: Forever 21

Knee-High Socks:  Target $4-$8

Boots: Payless $40 (or wait for a sale, I got them at $30)

Very affordable outfit 🙂

And this gorgeous burgundy lipstick is “ShowGirl” by Rain Cosmetics. I got it for $10 on Hautelook but it’s normally listed at $20.  I would definitely recommend it- this lipstick is well worth it.  It’s long lasting, moisturizing, and doesn’t get “flaky.”  I wish they all wore as well! Thumbs up on this product.

Happy October!

I think my favorite fall casual look is going to be jeans with a graphic t, blazer, and boots.

The blazer is Mudd- I found it at Khols

The tee was actually a free promotional tool from MailChimp!

These are my FAVORITE jeans.. they are actually jeggings but nobody can tell… I love that they give me the same curves as my leggings…I got them at 2cute for $30. Sadly, they don’t have an online store.

The booties are MTNG Originals Large Buckle Flat Boot- got them on a Hautelook flash deal but I’ve noticed with a little research Hautelook’s featured items are usually on sale else where as well.

I’m actually currently selling this Music Couture – Music Couture “Can’t Buy Me Love” Lock & Key Lariat Necklace on my personal eBay account so hurry!!! 🙂

You are going to LOVE this one!

floral fever

30 Aug

I cannot tell you how long I’ve been dying to get my hands on a pair of floral pants but always chickened out.  But that’s when best friends come in handy… mine literally FORCED me to buy a pair I tried on and I’m so glad she did- it’s a great addition to my casual Friday attire 🙂  I got them at a cute boutique in my town- that apparently has a website!

I paired them with a lace top and my handy dandy pair of cream flats (Target.)

What you need for this casual, somewhat eccentric, outfit that looks like you tried harder than you did:

 -leather jacket

-crochet tank,

-a scarf (mines a pink soft leopard print actually)

-pair of form fitting bootleg jeans(everyones got a favorite)

– moccasins- (mine are Viola! )

It’s that easy 🙂

My monkey won me a monkey 🙂
