UMCheeky December 2013

14 Dec

I never have enough underwear so the obvious thing to do was look into a subscription service.  I never thought I’d find one wit a promo that gets locked in for life!  Unmentionabley Cheeky is normally $8 a month, with the promo FALL13 on scrubbing you lock in $6 a month!  That’s $6 a month to recieve2 pairs of underwear for life!

They aren’t thongs, but they aren’t granny panties either.  I’m not blown away but at this price I’m going to give them a few months.

Beats my usual Victoria’s Secret purchase price!

FitFabFun Fall 2013 Box & Promo

30 Nov

Better late than never?!

FabFitFun is a seasonal box curated by Giuliana Rancic and the FabFitFun Team. It comes with$120+ in Beauty, Fitness, Fashion, and Wellness Finds- full size premium products- for only $49.99 per season.

Use code WINTER5 to save $5 off your winter box.

The wrapping was OK. I wish they had a better way of wrapping the smaller products because they could easily get lost among the larger ones.

Orville Redenbacher Gourmet Naturals Popcorn (~$2) I cannot begin to tell you how excited my brother-in-law was to discover we have “real” popcorn in the house.  What are my sister and I thinking- hoarding health food products when we have a skinny Italian man living with us?

Heath Warrior Chia Bar  ($1.56)  Not a chai fan, but I’ll pass it along.

Barre3 Standing Slim Workout DVD (& online program) ($19.95) Why not? You never know when the motivation will hit!

Starlooks 5 Shade Shadow Palette ($41) For a brand I normally assume is affordable, this is quite the gift.  However, this is my new travel companion!  I love soft shades- perfect pair for the crazy eyeliners I’ve been getting.

Mini Game Packs (~$1) I’ve never been a big gamer but why not bring this to the next family event or out to dinner wit my boyfriend.

Gorjana Canary Scarf ($57) and a Gorjana Canary Gift Card ($25)

Surface Trinity Protein Cream ($24) Love the hair conditioning products- every box should keep them coming!

SpaRitual Lacquer  ($12): I have a purple just like it- but with more metallic.  I don’t need another one though so I’m gifting this.

Drinkwel Capsules ($2.95): I will try anything to prevent/cure my hangovers! This getting old thing sucks!

I am in LOVE with this scarf but I wouldn’t of paid $57 for any scarf… so I will probably not be using the gift card, which is not valid on sale items.

Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Foaming Wash ($28) Great product! Light as air, but must be getting the job done because I am pretty acne prone and this has been good to me!  I can’t tell if it’s moisturizing or my skin just isn’t as dry because it’s it specifically meant for acne like the products I usually use.

This box also came with stickers and a little information packet on breast cancer awareness.

FabFitFun is my favorite box so far, with all this variety and a value of $213 how could it not be?!?!

POPSugar November 2013 + PROMO

9 Nov

Popsugar Must Have Box is a lifestyle subscription box filled with full size products sent to you monthly for $39.95.

Honestly, I do a lot of subscription box stalking, and Popsugar seems to be a favorite.  I never really felt the same awe others did but since this was my last chance to subscribe before the $5 price increase I gave it a chance.

I won’t physically be able to open it for awhile but my PopSugar Must Have November 2013 box is safely tucked away in my room awaiting my arrival.  Here is what this month is all about:

~Barefruit Crunch Sea Salt Caramel Apple Chips ($1) This is unique.  I dig it.
~Lands End Single Canvas Wine Tote ($19.50) Pretty sure this is useless to me, especially if it’s monogrammed and I can’t regift.
~The Soap and Paper Factory Shea Butter Soap ($8)  Ah, another expensive bar of soap.  I use body wash but this is useful for travel.
~Maison de Monaco Strawberry and Blackcurrant Cream Preserves ($6)  I’m excited to try this! I’ve been craving a cream cheese and jelly english muffin.
~Illume Candle (6.2 oz) ($15.75)  Pretty adorable and very festive.  I love candles but I just never buy them for myself.
~Absolute A! Nail Polish Remover in Spring Fresh (32 pads) ($1.99)  Useful for travel.  Chipped nails have been driving me nuts.
~Canvaspop Gift Card ($30)  Aw snap, I just ordered something from Picaboo with Groupon.  But I’m sure it’ll come in handy.
~Michael Stars Folk Art Wrap ($42) Eh, FabFitFun’s was cuter.

This box had an approximate value of $124 and I assume variations will exist. Well worth it if you are into these little goodies but I think I’m sticking to makeup and skin care.

If you do decide to try PopSugar, don’t forget to use PROMO Refer5 to save $5 off your next box.

Love With Food SCARY DELICIOUS October 2013 + Promo

26 Oct

Since I’m such a subscription box hoarder I decided to designate the reviews to Saturday… which is today… my favorite day!!!

Now, in case you never heard of them, LoveWithFood is a subscription service that helps you discover new organic, all-natural snacks . The membership starts at $10/month and you can cancel anytime, commitment-free.  Every month, Love With Food members will receive a curated box of unique, hard-to-find tasty snacks which varies based on seasonal themes. This October box came with a Halloween vibe, and a few Fall flavors.

I tried this box with a promo code making it only $2, try FBPROMO, FBGIFT or FBFOOD.

THE BEST PART- For every box sold, they donate a meal to several food banks such as the Feeding America Network and Share Our Strength – No Kid Hungry. This definitely makes this company stand out to me.

The box came with an order info card, that at first I thought was a greeting card!  Call me childish, but it put a smile on my face.  I’ve ordered a lot of snack subscription boxes and this is the only one that successfully made me feel like a friend rather than customer.

Anywho- here’s what I got:

Chocolate Pizzele Crisps from Silk City Snacks: $1 (guessitmate)

These are light and crispy Italian waffle cookies, under 100 calories!  I was excited because they had chocolate- but they turned out to be too bland L I will not purchase.

New World Caveman Cookies by Caveman Bakery: 2 cookies: $1.90 value

Kind of frail looking, but made with a refreshing mix of pumpkin seeds and maple syrup.

Organic Hard Candies from Torie & Howard & Glee Gum, triple berry from Verve Inc

Pixo Pearls from Vinaigrette Gingras $1.80 value

This is apple cider vinegar flavor, I’m thinking I am going to pour it over my plain cheerios.

Happy Squeeze from Happy Family $1.80

I keep getting these in all my boxes! Not that I mind sampling the different flavors.  They are pretty good when served cold.

Toasted Coconut Chips from Dang $2.50

I was worried at first glance- but they are delicious! They have the consistency of plantain chips but the taste of coconuts 🙂 Amazing!

Miniaturized Kind Bar from Kind Snacks $1.25

I’ve never really been into these bars and I don’t even feel it’s as healthy as advertised.

A bunch of coupons, including a voucher for 1 Free Honestly Good frozen dinner from Lean Cuisine: $4.99 value

Unfortunately I could not find a box in my local Shoprite.

The value of the box doesn’t seem to be much larger than what I paid, but that’s OK, the point is discovery.

What do you think of this month’s Lovewithfood?
